Watercolor 101 Supply List

Minimum of 5 colors of watercolor paint tubes or cakes in red, yellow, blue, burnt umber, and black (lamp black).

16 to 20 well palette tray

3 round brushes in size 10, 4, and 2.

1 oval wash brush size 3/4"

8x10 cold press watercolor paper or larger. It can be loose sheets, in a pad, or in a block.

2 water cups for rinsing brushes

Reusable microfiber or low lint towel for wiping brushes. Make sure it is fairly smooth, soft, and lint/fuzz free. 8) liquid mask/liquid frisket and application tool (old beat up brush, rubber tip brush made for sculpting clay, or Graphix incredible nib)
Drawing 101 Supply List

5-10 artist drawing pencils ranging from 2H to 8B. As long as you have an HB pencil and three to four #B pencils you will have what you need.

Spiral bound sketch book/pad that is at least 7" x 10" or up to 9" x 12".

Kneaded eraser and a plastic eraser such as a Milan 5020

Pencil sharpener

Various blending stumps and tortillons

Low odor spray fixative

Compressed charcoal or charcoal pencils. If you get this you need spray fixative.
Acrylic 101 Supply List

Minimum of acrylic colors in red, yellow, blue, white, and black.

16 to 20 well palette or a flat, no well, mixing palette that is at least 7"x 9". Your palette can be plastic, glass, or palette paper.

2 to 3 canvas boards or stretched canvas sized 8" x 10" to 11" x 14".

Flat brushes size 6 and 10, Filbert brushes size 4 and 8, Liner brush size 1, and a 1.5" to 2" chip brush.

Liquitex freestyle small #1 palette knife or similar.

Additional canvas boards or stretched canvas. You may also try canvas paper in addition to at least 2 canvas boards/stretched canvases.

Mixed Media 101 Supply Suggestions

At least 3 colors of acrylic paint or other water based paint such as watercolor and gouache.

Assortment of markers and gel pens (Sharpies, Microns, Gelly Roll, etc.)

Assorted stamps and ink pads or stencils

Decorative papers such as scrapbook paper

Some sort of glue such as a glue stick, modge podge, or acrylic medium.

Paper pad or journal with heavy weight mixed media, acrylic, or watercolor paper (at least 96lb/160gsm, preferably 184lb/300gsm).

Assorted brushes to apply paint and glue. I suggest some cheap or old ones for the glue. Even more supplies:
